Élise Marientras – RéDEHJA 2025 Book Prize
The RéDEHJA association (Network for the European Development of the History of Early America) has launched the ”Élise Marienstras – RéDEHJA Prize,” awarded twice a year, in honor of this distinguished historian and pioneer in the field of Early American studies in France.
The prize will be awarded on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the end of RéDEHJA’s annual “Recent Publications” conference, at Sorbonne University (the program for the day is available here: https://redehja.hypotheses.org/3013). The finalists are: Virginie Adane, Aux origines de New York. Femmes et hommes dans la formation d’une société nouvelle (Presses Universitaire de Rennes, 2024) ; Gilles Havard, Les Natchez : vie et destin d’un peuple nord-américain (Tallandier, 2024) ; Martin Robert, Cette science nécessaire.
