Les journées d’étude de Turin, organisées par le Département d’études historiques
les 25 et 26 mai 2023, visent à placer l’historiographie européenne au cœur de la
réévaluation de l’impact de la Révolution américaine sur le monde atlantique, par une
approche attentive à la fois à recherche scientifique et à la diffusion des
connaissances à travers des outils médiatiques. Les deux journées turinoises
constitueront un moment d’échange entre les spécialistes italiens et français les plus
renommés, ayant comme but de consolider la collaboration scientifique
italo-française. Ce dialogue s’articule sur un double plan. D’un côté, la réflexion
portera sur les figures et les moments clés de la circulation des idées au XVIIIe
siècle entre l’Italie, la France et l’Amérique, entre la Révolution américaine et la
Révolution française. De l’autre côté, une contribution sera apportée à l’impact au fil
du temps des célébrations de la Révolution américaine et aux suggestions qui
proviennent de la public history.
