Un honneur remarquable
Nous sommes ravis d’annoncer que Bertrand Van Ruymbeke a été élu membre de l’American Philosophical Society. Il s’agit d’une reconnaissance exceptionnelle, l’APS n’élisant que quelques nouveaux membres chaque année, principalement des scientifiques américains. Les élections dans le domaine de l’histoire sont particulièrement rares. Félicitations pour cette distinction exceptionnelle.

Appel à contributions: America’s 1776: Independence and its Enduring Legacies Une conférence du David Center for the American Revolution at the American Philosophical Society

America’s 1776 est l’une des trois conférences organisées conjointement par le DCAR et l’APS en 2026. Ces conférences visent à étudier la révolution américaine dans les contextes mondial, national et local, à la considérer dans ses connexions avec l’âge des révolutions et à débattre des principales forces de changement à l’œuvre au cours de cette période. Les autres événements sont les suivants :
