This one-day symposium introduced the America2026 program through a series of papers discussing recent revisionist trends in the interpretation of the meaning of the American Revolution and its legacy. It addressed the importance of comparing the roles played by European and American witnesses and actors of revolutionary moments (envoys, soldiers, travelers and tradesmen) from a transatlantic and circulatory perspective.
