\u00c0 l’approche d’une s\u00e9rie de comm\u00e9morations pour le 250e anniversaire, les histoires de la fondation des \u00c9tats-Unis n’ont jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 aussi vivement contest\u00e9es. Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, les historiens envisagent 2026 avec une certaine inqui\u00e9tude et beaucoup de d\u00e9termination pour \u00e9duquer un public m\u00e9fiant sur l’importance des preuves dans l’interpr\u00e9tation du pass\u00e9. Avec la mont\u00e9e des mouvements nationalistes – qui tendent \u00e0 s’approprier les r\u00e9cits fondateurs pour servir leurs objectifs politiques – dans le monde entier, les histoires diverses d\u2019une \u00e8re r\u00e9volutionnaire transnationale sont fragilis\u00e9es \u00e9galement ailleurs. En effet, la difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 aborder ces pass\u00e9s fait courir le risque d\u2019\u00e9viter compl\u00e8tement l’histoire dans un grand nombre des comm\u00e9morations \u00e0 venir. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement est co-parrain\u00e9 par le McNeil Center for Early American Studies et le Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books and Manuscripts.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
